Home Made Spelt flake & Oat Granola
Preheat oven to 160°C fan.
200g. organic spelt flakes
200g. rolled oats (I use rolled jumbo oats, they are least processed)
2 table spoons (60g.) melted or soft extra virgin coconut oil
2 table spoons of natural raw honey.
If you love cinnamon - add it to the oat and spelt mixture before pouring oil and honey. It will coat dry grains more evenly.
Mix everything well until wholegrains are fully coated (I do it by hand)
I make mix it straight into a baking dish.
Bake for 15min then stir/mix it a bit and bake for another 15 min. It should have a gorgeous golden colour.
Enjoy as it is with milk or yogurt
Or….. simply add what you like to flavour your Granola:
Freeze dried berries, dried banana chips, cacao nibbles, chocolate pieces, desiccated coconut, chia seeds, linseeds, pumpkin, sunflower seeds etc.
